The University of Oregon invited community members to submit proposals to use materials salvaged from Hayward Field. Many salvaged items have been incorporated into the new facility, which will host the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Team Trials in 2021 and the World Athletics Championships in 2022. Salvaged elements from the field showcase the rich heritage of the original stadium through graphics and signage as well as exhibits in Hayward Hall. See a list of recipients of salvage materials.
